According to their website they are ‘The UK’s first & only show for Coeliacs. G-free news, food reviews, comment; interviews with bloggers, food suppliers, nutritionists and celebs. ‘

I have recently started to look at radio and podcasts for a way to add interest to this site, so got in touch with them for a chat.

Peter the presenter/producer of the show/programme is a Coeliac and has a background in radio and has identified that people might appreciate him bringing the two together to present news from the gluten free world. It is an informative show and I find it very interesting – even though we are not confirmed coeliac sufferers, we still have to live a gluten free diet so it is very relevant to us.

Meeting Dell Ugo – talking gluten free pasta Reply

Last month, I was fortunate enough to meet Helena Jevons, the Head of Marketing at Dell Ugo. As I have mentioned before, and as many of you may know, Dell Ugo make fantastic pasta and have recently launched the first gluten free fresh pasta to go on sale in this country. I first spotted the gluten free penne in my local Waitrose and it was an instant hit with my intolerant child and the entire family. We all think it is every bit as nice as ‘normal’ pasta, if not nicer, so I decided to contact them to let them know.

After a few emails and a very informative telephone call, I was invited to go to the offices to meet Helena. Not only did she give a great interview, see link below – but she also gave me a tour of the factory and showed how the gluten free production line is completely separate from the rest. I was also introduced to Steve Walpole, their Head Development Chef and he gave me a tour of his development kitchen. It was an amazing experience and I learned so much – some really fascinating insights into why Dell Ugo moved into gluten free, how they have done it and the history of the company. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
